Ex Cond' Description Very neat vintage collectible.  This is I believe a pair of solid brass/brnz Greyhound bookends Possibly Deco that are extraordinary. They are inticately carved & darker accent color in all the grooves. It is attached to a solid brass base that is welded on not screwed as well, unlike other bases that are wood or painted base & attached separately.  Each bookend is one solid piece!!!  There are no marks or signatures so I cannot tell you who the maker is but They are gorgeous & appear to be in excellent condition. This set came from an estate sale of items that are now in my possession to sell. The women had a big variety of better pieces ranging from Capodimontes to Lalique & even a Remington. Each bookend weighs just under 3 lbs so they are quite heavy. These will definitely make a statement regardless what your collection consists of. Because of the coloring it almost has a bronze or antique brass look to it. Very elegant like this breed of dog! Do not pass this up! Each measures aprox  7-1/2" tall X 6-1/2" wide ( snout to back of neck) x 2-5/8" Base front) No collector should be without.
