This is a complete set of the 12 plates that are in new condition, never displayed and with no chips, cracks, wear or fading. All of the plates come complete with their original boxes and certificates of authenticity. From a non smoking environment. Plates are made of fine porcelain and measure 8 1/2 inches in diameter. Plates were originally sold from 1987 to 1989 and originally retailed for about $30 each. The plates are inspired by China's romantic novel "A Dream of Red Mansions". Designed by Zhao Muimin, a master artist with a reputation for creating famouse Ching-Te Chen porcelain pieces. Each plate depicts a different character from the novel, including Pao-Chai, Yuan-Chun, Hsi-Feng. Hsi-Chun, Miao-Yu, Ying-Chun, Tai-Yu, Li-Wan, Ko-Ching, Hsiang-Yun, Tan-Chun and Chiao-Chieh.
