Description
This is a complete 19 piece Green Geshia Tea Set.  Each piece is Hand Painted--Made In Japan.  The teapot is 5" in height and 7 1/2" across from handle to spout with the top being handpainted also.  It has one vent hole.  The sugar bowl is 4" in height and 6" across from handle to handle.  The creamer is 3 1/4" in height and 5 1/2" across from spout to handle. The six cups are 2" in height and 4 3/4" from handle across.  The Saucers are 5 1/2" across.  All pieces are stamped Hand Painted Made In Japan except for the cups.  Each scene on the individual items are of a house on stilts over a lake or inlet with a bridge crossing over to an island or another shoreline property.  The trees are oriental in style as well as the house built on stilts.  In the foreground there is a typical Japanese woman dressed in a red Kimona, a Japanese man carrying  two buckets on a stick over his shoulders and a Japanese Child skipping rope up the path leading to the house.  The flowering bushes are lavender with small white flowers.  There is a flock of birds flying across the water.  Each piece is trimmed in green and the handles, spouts and tops are accented in all probability with 14 karat gold trim.  The entire set is in exceptional condition with no damage.  This is a beautiful set for occassional usage or just for decorative purposes.  This would make a wonderful Christmas Gift as there is still plently of time to have it shipped in time.  This is a very delicate set and does require special packaging to insure it arrives in mint condition.  I always take special care in wrapping each piece and then double boxing it to avoid any damage or breakage.
