Accompanied with a letter giving provenance of the letter (see below). Also accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Christian Heritage MuseumContent:Sligo, May 18 1760 My Lord I have taken the liberty to speak to Lady Reardon, all that is in my heart, and doubt not, but your Lordship will second it on every proper occasion. The late awful Providence, I trust, will not pass over, without a suitable improvement. God has spoken aloud, and happy are they, that hear and recognize His voice. In one respect, I have been under some apprehension, on your Lordship's account; also I have been afraid, lest you should exchange the simplicity of the Gospel, for a Philosophical religion. O my Lord, why not go one step farther than this, We love Him, because He first loved us. I am Your Lordship's most obedient servant, John Wesley. We go to Castleton, tomorrow, thence to Loughlin. Provenance: John Wesley's letter to Lord Reardon, written in Ireland in the year 1760. I don't know how it originally came into our family, was found among my mother's papers, after her death in 1909. It had been in my father's family, as his father Richard Standish Jennings was born in Ireland, or English parents, who were in Ireland only temporary at the time. [Written by] Alice Jennings Cramer, copied from original copy. (1929)   SHIPPING: FREE shipping and secure packaging for all 50 US States and Territories. Additional overseas fee apply.
