Description
~~SELLING: Picture this classic authentic large classic Treasure Craft 1955 Pick Up in your collection. This is one of the 45 Original Red, not the Collector Edition Red. ( There were 100 of the Collect Editions made and they sell for $400.) How many have you seen anywhere? (The antique or off white is $100 in mint condition.) There is a German Shepard finial on the back of the pick up. One cookie jar historian and authority wrote: "..during production, Treasure Craft had issues getting the red paint for this truck just right, the result, they (Treasure Craft) only made 45 of these jars total...". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *To be precise, 45 were made. We have no way of knowing how many may have been broken or mishandled over the years so the number in existence is likely much lower.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CONDITION: The jar is about as mint as the day it was created. We've examine this truck with a magnifying glass and found what feels like a small glaze flake or skip on the right headlight. We'll try to get a photo of it for serious inquries. . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~. A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS: We will be happy to send additional photos of any jar in our collection. All we need is your inquiry & private email as we can not send attachments thru ebays system. OUR GUARANTEE: The internet is full of cookie jars of unclear origins and ancestry. We warrant this to be an authentic Treasure Craft Original Red . check your collector book! It is vintage and comes from a no pet, non smoking home.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHY WE ARE SELLING OUR COLLECTION: Our collection got as high as 900 jars. We've gradually narrowed it down to 500 jars which we liked the best, enjoyed, best condition, rarest, most interesting. etc. Frankly, our steps seem to grow longer and our retirement nest egg seems to grow smaller. We are trying to add new jars as we find and unpack so bookmark our store and stop back often. Or better...Click N Watch every jar you like! PRICING: Quality and rarity are critical. We try our best to point out post-production defects completely and accurately. We want our "babies" to go to good homes for the next 20 or 30 years so they can be passed on as enjoyable heirlooms from the mid 20th Century. SHIPPING: Jar is quite heavy and will require a strong box as it weighs about as much as two regular jars. Priority will be horribly high. It is approx 14" bumper to bumper, 7" tall and approx 6" front fender to fender. We've selected an average shipping price as we are equidistant from all coasts. We do strongly urge insurance and eBay figures that into your total. We've tried to be good stewards of these jars and try extra hard to pack them carefully. We don't believe in endangering a $500 jar to save 50c of bubble wrap. We try to include a coffee filter with each jar we ship. We found that to be a wonderful way to avoid rim chips when you display your jar. BEST OFFERS: We will be happy to consider reasonable offers. If you are buying a gift, we try to ship quickly. Unlike an auction, you don't have to wait beside your computer guessing if you might win or get outbid at the last hour. QUESTIONS ARE STILL FREE! We'd rather talk before the sale than resolve a misunderstanding when jar arrives. Together we can have a "no surprize" transaction. Powered by eBay Turbo Lister
