Description
Powered by Auction Hawk 1955 Rambler automobile owner's manual - car The Rambler was one of the classic automobiles in US auto history. The first Rambler was built in 1902, and it evolved quickly into a very luxurious car brand. Rambler ownership went through a number of acquisitions and mergers, to include the Jeffrey Company, Nash Motors, Nash-Kelvinator, and American Motors. At one time the Nash Rambler was the #3 car in the US in terms of production and had almost 10% of the US market. Over 4.2 million cars were made, but the last product rolled off the assembly line in 1969. You are bidding on a quite rare item: a 1955 Owner's Manual for the Rambler. The booklet goes into detail on operations, maintenance, driving dividends, and is the owner's warranty. The 36-page publication has a number of pictures, diagrams and tables of specifications for the car, to include dash board diagrams, information on its hydro-matic transmission system, a lubrication service chart, accessories for the car -- even a picture and description of how to jack up the car. The booklet measures appx 6x4 inches unopened. The cover is a thick glossy cardstock, and the content pages are thinner semi-glossy paper. Best yet, this item is in EXCELLENT CONDITION: it has no writing or markings, no rips or tears. The cover shows only slight age discoloration (see scan). A great item for the collector of items related to Nash, the Rambler and American Motors.
