It is dated 1959. Length 27 1/2", width 21 1/2", height 79". Vending Capacity: 126 6-10oz or 112 12oz bottles. It also accepts long necks and some water bottles. Works great with beer bottles too. It has been refurbished with a new detailed paint job on the outside, new display sign lighting, and new electrical cord. Temperature gets down to around 25 degrees. It has an adjustable thermostat to make it whatever temperature you like your drinks at. It works perfectly inside and out. The front display sign lights up. Instructions are attached to the inside of the door. Drinks are only 10 cents a piece. Pick up only on this item in Xenia, Ohio. The Vendo 126 series was produced by the the Vendo Company of Kansas City Missouri between 1959 and 1965. This machine is known by collectors as a "Square Corner" machine. This is because the top does not have rounded corners like many of the older machines. Several years ago "Square Corner" machines were typically passed up by most collectors and were virtually ignored. Today these machines are more popular than ever and have started to rise in value. The main reason for the quick turnaround is the fact that the older round corner machines are in limited supply and are getting real expensive. This has forced collectors and first time buyers to look at the more affordable, easier to find, square corner machines. The Vendo 126 is also known as a "Slant Shelf" vendor because it uses slanted shelves to vend its drinks. This is a major plus because it allowed these machines to vend all sorts of drinks in various bottle sizes. Prior to 1965 the Vendo 126 came with a "Drink Coca-Cola" light up sign. After 1965 I am told that the signs were changed to "Enjoy Coca-Cola". Also, I am told that the 70's models were the first to come with the "wood grain" front panel. Prior to that most Vendo 126 models came in the traditional Red & White color scheme. Also, during the early 70's the light up sign came with an indented star pattern.
