Let me explain this first... before I searched for a few hours I knew zero about swords. I am truthfully a bit concerned that this is a genuine ancient/antique Rapier sword. I am sure that if you are willing to purchase it you must know enough about swords. From what I can see there are new reproductions and very old and very expensive genuine swords. I have every reason to believe from all the pictures and info gathered that this is a genuine Rapier. It is not too difficult to see that this is very old. Remember, everything said here is my opinion, it is up to you to be sure of what you are buying.
