There were two versions of this sign. One had bigger lettering with extra spacing between each reading while the small one is spaced much more tightly. The BMT AB's (Standards) were built between 1914-1924 and were considered state of the art equipment.   These cars were retired in the late 1960's after finishing their lives on the old Eastern Division of the BMT (sort of the elephant burial grounds for old subway cars).   This sign has white letters on a black cloth background with readings on both sides.  The readings on the sign are as follows: CULVER  EXP CULVER  L'C'L WEST END EXP. LINE   When we say an item came from an AB car you can be sure it did!  Sign measures approximately 18 inches wide & 9 feet long.  Has very little original subway dirt and it's in great shape for it's age. Overall, the readings are in very nice shape.  There is some ghosting from only a few of the readings. Photos of both sides are shown. Great for bar or restaurant decoration, dorm room, den, etc.  Also makes that one of a kind gift (you can't find this at Sears or Target).  Have fun touring old New York. Own a piece of history!
