I believe this may be the raised screen butter churn.   The sides of this large jar have tulip-like indentions with impressed decorative horizontal lines -- ‘holds’ to grip the jar. I believe this jar is in excellent antique condition, no chips, scratches or repairs.   The churn mechanism is cast iron with a Daisy by the gear, the number 34B and Dazey on both sides. I believe the lid may be tin and appears to be in good vintage condition. The original whey screen is attached.   The gears flow smoothly and two wooden blade paddles move freely. The paddles appear to be original and are also in good condition with vintage wear.   The bottom of the jar reads –Dazey Churn & Mfg. Co. Made in St. Louis, U.S.A., No 4 in raised letters.  I have not tried to clean it up.   This vintage Dazey Butter Churn will make a nice addition to your collection or serve as the perfect decorative touch to any display.   Please check out my other listings as well as my store!   Most items we sell are used, antique or vintage.
