Description
I f find myself in a financial position where I must sell some of my prized fossils, if you can help, I thank you. If you would like to make an offer on any item, I will carefully consider all offers. Unfortunately this is about feeding my family as well as keeping a roof over our heads. If you can help… God bless and thank you. I am noy looking for a hand out. I belive in supporting myself buy any help  is greatly appreciated, Again God Bless and the best of holiday seasons!!!! Ok as always we guarantee all of our fossils to be genuine as well as guarantee that you will receive the exact item pictured or in this case in all of the pictures... This is the only nearly complete Mosasaur skeleton I have seen. For those that claim that Morocco is the capitol of fossil reproductions..... Take a look at this...... my guess is that maybe you dont know as much as you claim!!! This one is the real thing and I would bet my entire collection on that one............. If this appears to be a slam on all the "know it alls" Selling fossils on the internet, guess what...your right. Yes there are crooks out to Screw consumers but they are not all on ebay and certainly not restricted to Fossil Vendors... Most any Half-Wit can distinguish between the real thing and a fake, It does not take a brain surgeon... Amd to top it off the same vendors seaming everybody else are selling the exact same thing from Morocco for alot more money... Id love to have that profit margin.. For those of us doing the right thing and taking care of our customers, CUDOS.... Ok Im done venting now................. Sorry I'm Sick of all the experts out there, there are no experts, By nature of the word it is impossible to know everything...     Nearly the entire skeleton, in a fetal like position, if stretched out should be 6-8 feet in length, the head (skull) is nearly 14 inches with 34 clearly visible teeth, now that would be a hard one to reproduce im sure that there are more to be excavated from this mound of sand stone. In original matrix )sand Stone) with plaster stability cast, it is truely amazing, The plaster cast is nearly Round in shape and between 4 and 5 feet in diameter the weight is between 100 and 200 pounds im guessing maybe more, as you can imagine it is a little difficult to weigh something of this magnitude with much of the skeleton exposed. I have done nothing to this piece in the time I have had it, I strongly recomend using something to stabilize the bone structure while it is in such beautiful shape. If you would like specific dimensions or lengths, just ask This is truely incredable if you would like more pictures let me know, I tried to get every angle. This will need to be picked up in San Diego, or if you like you have the option of contracting packing and shipping to an outside company, I will not pack this or take any responsability for its safety once it leaves my posession. ***********************FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER***********************   Mosasaur The Mosasaur lived on almost every continent 70-75 million years ago during the Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic Era. Nicknamed the "Lizard of the Maas River" for its discovery in the Netherlands near Maastricht. Mosasaurs were the largest lizards ever to evolve with a length of almost 60 feet with a long snake like tail and flipped feet. They were carnivores that ate sharks, fish, turtles, and ammonites. The head of a Mosasaur was about 6 feet long and the gape of its mouth could be 3 feet. Their large jaws had stabbing teeth and had a hinge in the mid-lower jaw similar to modern day constrictor snakes. This enabled them to swallow huge prey. What is even more amazing about these creatures is that they had curved teeth on the roof of their mouth just before their throat. Any prey still attempting to escape their massive jaws would be firmly held in place just prior to being swallowed whole. The teeth in the jaws of the Mosasaur were deeply lodged into the jaw bone, there was huge power in the bite to necessitate such well anchored teeth. It’s believed that the bite force of the Mosasaur was equal to that of a Tyrannosaurus rex. The Mosasaur was a true hunter and killer that had no rival during their existence.
