Aluminum Copper Tone Bread Box Hello, thank you for visiting The Estate Sale Store !For your consideration we have this huge vintage retro EAMES era aluminum bread box in a copper tone color made by Mirro in the 1950's.  This one was the first issued with the wooden knob, so it's very hard-to-find.  I've only seen one other in the four years I've been on the internet.  My guestimate is that the piece can hold at least 8 raisin bread size loaves easily with space left over. The piece measures approximately 11" L x 17" W x 10" H and has an inner shelf and solid wooden knob that opens and closes with a metal latch.  The divider makes two shelves and sags a bit in the center but this does not interfer with it's function.  The inside of the door is lined and the door seals tight.  The shelf is offset higher than center so you can hold bread on the bottom and smaller breadstuffs on the top.  The shelf is also removable leaving a huge inside container. The piece is very versatile and can be used for many kitchen storage needs not just for keeping breadstuffs making it a useful small cabinet.  It's decorative and matches very well with the copper canister sets of the day.Condition Report:  No impressions or dents in the metal, scratching on the top (see pic) which is more than likely covered with a towel, tray or hidden by your cabinet,  some scratching on the front where one is noticeable and the few others are slight.  The inside center tray sags but stays in place, the knob has a good patina but is clean or could be refinished if you do not like the look. NOTE: PLEASE
