Company Germany Timer Very few timers made by this company are left in existence.  T This precious piece was found buried in an overcrowded thrift store with no attention.  The K.C. Company of Germany was known for building quality early alarm clocks and mantle clocks.  It's a wonder this piece has survived.  This mechanical device was likely used in the kitchen as an early timer.  Most kitchens when remodeled lost these early attributes. This timer works.  It is an interesting artifact and it is built with a "cock" lever for resetting the timer. There is no need for winding.  The device has a built in mechanism that restarts the timer when you reset the arm.  Then you have one minute on the time. This is a working piece currently.  I foresee that it will work for years to come.  The back is very old and made of wood as all the early timers were.   I imagine it was produced in the early 1900's.  The wood has split since then and will be repaired tastefully so the new owner can appreciate the period.  This doesn't take away from the front of the piece.
