The 122 bit is one of Klapper's most popular patterns. 8 1/4" cheek, 5 1/4" mouth with a 2" tall port and copper rollers on bars. Six silver pieces and TOD on each cheek. All hand cut and hand engraved. Natural patina. Marked "KLAPPER 122" inside left shank. Bit shows some use but it is a long way from worn out. Klapper saw this bit yesterday. I will stand behind it as 100% Klapper all the way. Headstall was made by well known maker Ed Walker. Heavy harness leather, split ear, double buckle, Chicago screw bit attatchment. Marked "ED WALKER XX Leathersmith" on both sides. Shows some use but very good condition. The headstall buckles are rare pieces themselves. Made by Texas makers Wayne Dollar and Wayne Dyce when they worked together.1 3/4" by 1 7/8" with a 3/4" opening. Mounted with three silver pieces. Keepers are silver mounted. All hand cut and hand engraved. The bit end Chicago screws are mounted with7/8" iron conchos overlaid with 3/4" engraved silver conchos.Natural patina. Marked "$ 0516 and a pair of dice" on the backs. I did not take them off to look for a mark but they are for sure hand made. The flat chain curb has hand made buckles by another well known Texas maker Glen Pointer. 1 1/4" by 1" with 5/8" opening. Marked "POINTER" on the front. The very nice harness leather reins are 8 1/2 feet long and have water loop ends. They are just over 1/4" thick at the bit end and a full 1/2" thick on the other end. Still very soft and supple. Here's a rig with work by four well known makers that can go back to work or in a collection. It would still look good even if you had the TOD taken off of it. Don't let this one get by you.
