KRUG produces a vintage cuvee only in outstanding years when the grapes best reflect the character of the vintage. In 1990 it was clear as soon as the grapes were picked that they had a great vintage year, its early promise was confirmed when the wine was tasted after first fermentation in small oak casks. KRUG 1990 has a golden amber colour similar to 1989, plentiful fine bubbles emphasise its luminous satiny look, a multitude of aromas rise from the magnificent cuvee, slightly spicy, peach, apricot & hazelnut hints as well as more delectable notes of honey, toast & candied fruit. Its rich flavour and warm blend make this truly outstanding. A KRUG that is already rich in qualities and with fabulous potential, decidedly one of Krugs great classics. This is a very serious Champagne from one of the finest vintages, it has been stored in the correct temperature and condition for nearly two decades.
