From the Liberace Palm Springs California estate sale of April 8, 1990, here are an outstanding pair of German porcelain figure lamps, portraying a handsome young man and a beautiful young woman within a garden setting. Lot number 175, with original auction tags still present on both lamps, including the original bill of sale from Butterfield & Butterfield auction house, and the original auction catalog showing the listed lamps. Also included is a book on Liberace which shows these actual lamps in his home (see "The Wonderful Private World of Liberace" for reference page 189. They are shown in his Gloria Vanderbilt guestroom). Both lamps are in original excellent condition and in working order. They are 30 inches tall, from the wood base to the top of the shade. The porcelain figures are each 13 3/4 inches tall. These are really stunning looking lamps and they look wonderful when displayed. Lee Liberace (1919-1987) was the greatest popular pianist of the 20th century and a great showman. His museum in Las Vegas is one of the most popular attractions there.
