This magnificent quilt is skillfully pieced, hand-appliqued and all hand-quilted with straight line quilting along the scallop borders and outline and fancy quilting around the flowers and leaves. The background is a creamy white cotton with some very faint pencil lines still visible. These patterns have been marked in pencil for the quilter and these faint pencil lines disappear during the quilt's first washing. Seeing these pencil lines are a good thing as they confirm the authenticity and integrity of all hand quilting. This quilt is finished with a scalloped border and a 1/4" solid green trim which is hand-sewn on the backside; which is also the same soft creamy white cotton as on the front. (Actually, the quilt could be reversible to a plain white quilted side, if so desired). The size of this quilt is a very generous 105" wide x 112" long and is shown on a queen size bed; however, this quilt would work on a King with a dust ruffle, but please check your measurements before bidding. This quilt is exceptionally large and would also display nicely on a large wall. The detail on this quilt is incredible, so please take time to view all the photos - I have tried to capture the true beauty of this lovely quilt.
