Located right on “Surf Avenue” it pictures a front view of building that housed the ride, along with a sign on the front which reads, “Pike’s Peak Railway”. A “gondola” type ride car can be seen in one of the upper cutaway portions of the building. Visible to the left of the ride there is a sign which reads, “Golden Rod” beer,and also seen is a portion of a large “Rye” whiskey sign. Above that a portion of the famouse “Steel Tower” is seen. Visible to the right side of the ride is a portion of the building which housed the “Great Musical Railway”, another popular ride along the avenue. Pictured in the foreground is a portion of one of the many “tour buses” that run up and down the avenue. Best of all in the foreground center is a small “oldstyle carriage” that is pulled by a “goat”. The driver stands nearby. Just super details in this one. The goat cart makes the view one of my favorites. The card is captioned in the upper left corner and reads, “Pike’s Peak Railway, Coney Island, NY”. The publisher is mentioned on the reverse side as being “A.C. Bosselman, New York”. The card has a divided back and is postally used being a “Trenton,NJ-1908” cancel with proper stamp affixed. The condition of the card is “nice & crisp” with just some very, very minor corner wear at three of the points. This is a great classic addition to any Coney Island or Amusement Park collection.
