Further, both hand-numbered on the underside in black "57" as shown; they are a true matched pair. Old estate pieces from a very good Dallas estate. AGE: Guaranteed antique English Staffordshire and I would date these to ca. 1880 - 1920 [conservative]. Please note the patina of age-wear and also the subtle modelling differences between the two figurines [compare pics #4 and #5]; they are true hand-made pieces. NOT any type of modern reproduction pieces and check out the pics and my "no questions asked" return policy and know that you won't be disappointed. SIGNATURES OR MARKINGS: Each figurine hand-numbered on the underside "57" as shown Otherwise, they appear totally unmarked on my honest inspection, typical and correct for old Staffordshire. CONDITION REPORT: One horn on one of the cows has been repaired. See pic #2 and it is the horn on the left-hand side. It is a **very** minor repair with the original piece merely re-glued; no color loss, missing bits, or overpainting. Overall, the repair is noticeable only on very close inspection and most collectors won't consider it a detraction; noted for completeness however. Otherwise, excellent condition as shown with honest and expected patina of age-wear as shown and NO other chips, cracks, repairs, etc. NO white scratches or other excessive wear to the painted decoration. The pics are very honest and show the condition well and you won't be disappointed in the condition of this piece in real life versus what is shown in the pics.  SIZE: Each figurine about about 6" long and they come across as larger in real life than these dimensions possibly imply; they are nice-size pieces.
