Persian Sabre XVIII - XIX cc. Persian Sabre XVIII-XIX cc. Damascus steel, gold, silver, horn, wood, green velvet. The mounts are made of silver. The hilt is of horn and the guard is of watered steel. The Damascus blade is Persian. The blade is curved and single edged and is signed by the maker. The scabbard is of wood with green velvet and is original to the sabre. The top silver mount has two chains attached. The guard is of Damascus steel. Overall length is 37 inches and the blade measures 30 inches. Overall length is 37 inches, the blade measures 31 inches .
