The back of the grater is a very light gold color, which extends to the front along its crimped edges. Note that the tin was originally cut at its bottom back and folded inward so the whole or partially grated nutmeg could be stored inside. It has a hole at its top to hang it by when not in use, and measures 4-5/8” tall x 2-1/4”W (at its widest point) x ¾”D.
