Description
QUAKER CITY No. 4 GRAIN & COFFEE MILL EXCELLENT CONDITION This grain mill is in excellent working condition and the fineness/coarseness of the ground grain is easily adjustable by means of a screw and a locking wingnut. It is barely used. This model was first made in the 1800's. It continued to be made, with the same basic design, by different manufacturers, till recently. I am not sure if it is still being made today. The mill listed here was made a few years ago by the A.W. Straub Company (a division of QCG Systems) in Philadelphia, PA. It is made of iron, plated with some metallic substance to protect the health of the user. The plating was done by the manufacturer. The mill is all original. (I added this information a day after the listing started, to answer a question from an ebayer.) The mill does a great job in grinding wheat for bread, but can be used to grind all kinds of grains, seeds, beans, coffee, etc. You can get an idea about the size of the mill from the photos taken on the kitchen floor. Each tile is 8 inches X 8 inches. The mill weighs 12 pounds and 2 ounces, unpacked. I am listing it at a low start price and no reserve. Please ask any questions that you may have. I am always happy to receive and answer questions. I check my e-mail several times a day. The mill will be very carefully packaged and will be shipped, fully insured, by FedEx Ground, UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail to United States buyers, and by USPS Express Mail international or Priority Mail International to buyers outside the United States. Please note that FedEx and UPS do not ship to P.O. Box addresses. I do not charge for handling or packaging material. I will ship within 48 hours after receiving your payment and will send you the Tracking Number. In most cases, I am able to ship within 24 hours. Payment instructions: From United States buyers: I prefer PayPal but I also accept Cashier Checks and Postal Money Orders. From buyers outside the United Sates: The only accepted form of payment is PayPal. I will contact the buyer by e-mail soon after the end of the auction and I expect the buyer to reply to my e-mail within 24 hours. This is to confirm your shipping information before sending you the invoice. Thanks for looking. Happy Holidays.
