Mr. Peanut Nuroll Ice Cream Scoop Antique ' Description RARE 1930's? Mr. Peanut Nuroll Ice Cream Scoop Antique Here we have a highly collectible and hard-to-find ice cream scoop. So rare, in fact, that I can't find any pictures or info on the web, aside from a scoop that reportedly sold for $95 in 2005 (I cannot find a picture to confirm that this is the same scoop, it was described as having Mr. Peanut on the handle, as this scoop does). I'm sure that the Mr. Peanut and Ice Cream Scoop collectors out there can date this scoop more accurately than I can, but it looks like 1930's vintage to me. The scoop measures approximately 7 1/2" long and appears to be in very good condition. Mr. Peanut is about 1" tall . No pitting, just a few light scratches. I'll leave the cleaning up to the lucky new owner, as I'm unsure the best way to clean it (the patina is actually very nice just as it is!). There is a hole at the end of the handle if you would like to hang your scoop. Printed on the back of the handle: NUROLL, MAUMEE, OHIO, US PATENT #D-184O76, CANADIAN PATENT #DEG.RD.158 and has a little triangle with ADC (hard to read, may say something else). I am not an ice cream scoop expert, so any questions or info on this ice cream scoop are welcome and appreciated.
