Perhaps a collector would know, how to remove the additions, as for myself, I like items as found and used, not steril, without any history. The nose has a slight dent and another one at the back, can be repaired. AN IMPRESSIVE MOLD IN ANY COLLECTION.I slight  rust on forehead,   a few small  spots on rim, the brown on the bottom hinge is old batter, [sorry] I loved it , bought it long ago and put it on a shelf high up.
