This is an extremely difficult to find pair of original Arts and Crafts Wall Sconces that would work well in a Mission, Arts and Crafts, Craftsman or Tudor Style home. (One of the photos shows one mounted in a transitional Victorian/Mission style home so you can see how they look lit.) Pair is all original, except for the wiring which has been replaced with new wire ready to mount. The slag glas is wonderfully translucent marbled pale amber/ivory glass and gives off a warm glow when lit. There are no cracks to the glass. The sconces are made of iron or steel (a magnet sticks to them) with a wonderful warm brown copper/bronze patina with a hammered finish. The finish looks to be a bronze/copper plating with a lightly lacquered originally and is in wonderful condition. The original pull sockets work, and have a clean click when pulled off and on. The back plate measuers 10" tall and 2 1/2" wide. The shade extends out from the wall 6" to the edge of the shade. I also am including four round head brass screws which I have patinated dark to blend with the color of the back plate for mounting. These rare sconces are ready for immediate use.
