Description
Russian Award Cossack Shashka XIX - XX cc. Russian Award Cossack sword-shashka. This fine edged weapon was awarded to Cossack officer. The silver handle has a badge of St. Anna and a small silver horseshoe with the inscription “For Bravery”. The old blade is decorated with itched leave ornament on one side and Russian Imperial double headed eagle with following lines: Armour Manufacture of Osman Omarov. Wooden scabbard, covered with black leather (not certain whether the leather has been replaced) and decorated with four silver fittings probably Chercesian work. The two fitting in the middle bear silver hallmarks. Overall length is 37 inches, the blade measures 31 inches . The shipping is FREE: Domestic (Priority Mail), International (Air Mail).
