The junior is already one of the rarer vac pots to be found and this one has some features that make it even more collectible. The upper and lower pots are marked Silex A UK-2, and Silex A LK-2 respectively . The A as I understand it indicates a first run. To further add to the collectible value the band holding the handle appears to be a manufacturers mistake. The front side of the band reads "Trademark Silex reg U.S. Pat. Off Pats Applied for". The other side of the band says "U.S. Pat. No's 1859614, 2072934", however all of this second information is printed upside down from the other side. The pictures unfortunely are tough to read but I believe you can see what I am describing. All this leads me to believe this was a first run of this pot and once the mistake was discovered future bands had all the printing printed right side up. This is the first Silex band I have seen this way. All parts are in excellent condition including the rubber gasket. This pot will do a fine job of brewing coffee or be a terrific and very rare collectible.   Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 ….Now on to the fine print.   The winning bidder is responsible for shipping and handling, and the shipping cost quoted is for the continental US only.
