This cookie jar has the original 'mooer' in the lid.  When you lift the lid, it actually makes a realistic mooing sound.  This one works like a charm!  Most of the cookie jars no longer have the moorer and/or it doesn't work if it is there. The cookie jar is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, odors or discoloration.  I doubt if it was ever used to hold cookies.
